Frequently asked questions

For vendors

Who is a vendor?

A vendor is anyone with work that needs doing: a homeowner who needs a couch moved, a small business that needs flyers handed out, or a landlord who needs a unit cleaned between tenants.

How much does it cost to post work?

Posting a flatrate offer is free. You only agree to pay the flat rate you set, directly to the worker you accept, once the work is done.

How do I choose a worker?

Workers reply to your offer with a short message and when they are available. Review the replies from your vendor dashboard, message any worker with questions, then accept the one you want. Accepting a reply assigns the offer and politely declines the others.

Can I change my offer after posting it?

Yes. You can edit the title, description, rate, location and due date at any time from your dashboard. If you need to stop accepting replies, set the status to cancelled.

For workers

Who is a worker?

A worker is anyone looking for paid work they can pick up on their own schedule. You decide which offers are worth your time.

Do I have to negotiate?

No. That is the point of flat rate work. Every offer shows the full price upfront. If the rate works for you, reply. If it does not, skip it.

How do I get paid?

You are paid the agreed flat rate directly by the vendor once the job is complete. Agree on the payment method in messages before you start.

Can I see offers in my city only?

Yes. Use the city filter on the offers page, or set your city on sign up and your worker dashboard will suggest offers near you and remote offers.

Posting work

What makes a good flatrate offer?

A clear title, an honest description of the work, what tools or supplies are provided, a realistic time estimate and a fair price. Offers with clear expectations get better replies, faster.

How do I pick a fair rate?

Think about how long the job takes, any travel involved and what you would pay a local professional. Browse similar offers in your category and city to see what others are paying.

What work is not allowed?

Anything illegal, unsafe, or that requires a license the worker would not reasonably hold. Staff remove offers that break the rules.

Accepting work

How do I reply to an offer?

Sign up as a worker, verify your e-mail address, open any offer and press "Reply to this offer". Tell the vendor why you are a good fit and when you are available.

Can I edit or withdraw my reply?

Yes, as long as the vendor has not accepted or declined it yet. Manage your replies from your worker dashboard.

What happens when my reply is accepted?

The offer is assigned to you and appears on your dashboard. Use messages to confirm the details with the vendor, then do great work.
